Based on the SEIE Mk 11 submarine escape suit design, the Mk 11 Jerkin has been designed for instances where storage space is limited on board. The Mk 11 is particularly suited to submariners operating in temperate climates where thermal exposure is limited. Manufactured from lightweight, durable polyurethane coated fabrics the Mk 11 jerkin consists of a sleeved waistcoat assembly, an inflatable stole complete with two pressure relief valves and an integral ascent hood. The substantially improved design is demonstrated in the overall improved comfort, fit and functionality of the MK 11 Jerkin.

• Larger ascent hood view panel gives greater visibility during flood and ascent phases.
• Ascent hood includes patented “rip-zip” for rapid CO2 venting on the surface.
• A new unique self-righting stole design has been developed to withstand twice the pressure of existing equipment.
• Integral life jacket style stole provides over 170N buoyancy and increases freeboard.
• The MK 11 Jerkin exceeds the known safe depth of escape and has been fully instrument tested by QinetiQ to 310 meters (un-manned).
• Patented Mk 6 Automatic Stole Relief Valve enhances stole inflation, guaranteeing the stole/hood will remain inflated on the surface.
• Improvements to the YPFC and enhanced hose positioning, improves air flow and overall operational performance of the ascent stole, allowing for controlled stole / hood inflation.
• Through partnerships with HABETAS and ISEC, we are the only company capable of ensuring design and functionality optimisation for use with current hood inflation systems, providing future cost efficiencies with zero expense for the end user.

Valise

Durable flame resistant fabric is used for the outer valise material with cushioned inner lining manufactured produced from a composite metallised polymeric film with encapsulated air gaps to protect the packed assembly. Quick rip zip opening action to allow for rapid deployment.
